last 5 seconds of ogg files are being cropped on T30 512mb
I have a T30 512mb player which I use mainly for ogg files. I encode the ogg files using the built in Ogg Vorbis encoder that comes with Nero v6.6. I also add tag information to each ogg file using TagScanner v4.9.
The files play fine in Media Player and the song length is also listed correctly. But when I transfer the ogg files to the T30 using Windows Explorer the last 5 seconds of each song are removed. A song that would be listed in Media Player as 3:25 would be listed as 3:20 on the T30. I am currently using the latest firmware release. Any ideas? How to reproduce bug: Example Song: http://music.download.com/cantinero/...ng_song_artist Tag Editor: http://www.download.com/TagScanner/3...ml?tag=lst-0-1 Ogg codecs to enable playback in media player: http://www.illiminable.com/ogg/ 1. Encode song to ogg at 64kbps using a constant bit rate 2. Add tag information. 3. Transfer to T30 using Windows Explorer. 4. Compare song length in media player to the length on the T30 |

It turns out that this error only occurs on the MTP version of the T30. I just recently converted my T30 to UMS and it fixed the problem. The ogg files now play perfectly and the song length now matches the length in media player. If anyone has experienced this same problem just download the iriver firmware updater and update your firmware to 1.71 UMS. Cheers.
