T10 UMS 1.70 only likes random USB port?
I recently picked up a T10 and immediately converted to the latest UMS. Everything went smoothly for a while until a few weeks ago, when the player started locking up whenever I attempted a transfer. I tried switching the USB port and discovered there's only one port out of eight that works, and it's practically random every time I restart the computer.

Does anyone know what the hell is up with this?

Bump. Problem persists. MTP isn't an option because iRiver Plus and Windows Media Player seriously rape my music library.

Apparently I can't even RMA the thing now because iRiver's eBox lacks a register button and their phone number is no longer in service. What the hell has happened to this company...

did you try test the player at anoteher PC?

iRiver plus is for UMS players.

try hooking the player up to a powered hub, as this sounds that the usb ports are under powered.
