T30-Corrupt files using drag and drop

I've modded my T30 with UMS using the updater software provided by Iriver website. I use to delete my old files in the T30 and transfer new MP3 or OGG files into the player. Off and on, some files seems to be corrupted. The files either skip some beats or just drop off in the middle of a song and skip to the following song. I deleted the whole folder using the pc and reload the same folder into the T30. This time the song that skip some beats is good but another file experience the same problem as above. I use the T30 format to clear all the files and transfer some folders into the T30 but the same type of files corruption is happening. The above problem seems to happen randomly to files in different folders. I have 2 T30, one a 512Mb and the other 1Gb and both have the same problem. Both are UMS. Anybody out there has the same problem?

Maybe related problem?

Here's a couple of posts I put on the iRiver site. It looks somewhat similar to the problem you're experiencing. I'm getting the feeling that something is getting corrupted no matter how you transfer the files.

"I am loading my T30 with subscription musci from Rhapsody. I have upgraded the T30 firmware to 1.71 and have the latest Rhapsody verion.

There are a number of songs that if I browse the folders and select the song name then it will play a different song. Sometimes none of the songs in a folder will play.

I've tried changing the playback mode to folder only and when I select a song the T30 very quickly runs through the song titles but won't play any of the songs."

"I get the songs via Rhapsody subscription then transfer them to my T30. Of course this this type of service only works if the T30 is configured for MTP (which mine is). I transferred 180 songs to my device at the same time, but ~20% of them will be skipped over during continuous play, or individually selected will play some other song instead. It's almost like the song titles aren't getting linked to the correct song storage on the device. "

From all complains about T30 firmware problems in this thread, Iriver must have pushed out half cooked firmware and let the WORLD test it.
