AKG K81 DJ headphone with T30
Hi guys,
Newbie to this forum. Proud owner of a T30 1Gb player. Anybody out there has partnered an AKG K81 DJ headphone with an Iriver T30 or T10 player? Interested in getting this headphone for my Iriver. Read review that it works very well with portable players. |

according to this thread on head-fi people use those headphones with creative players, wich if i recall correctly, have a lower output than the t30, so you should be ok...

T30 stock headphone
Yes I know. Understand that the T30 stock earphone is actually Sennheiser MX500. After reading quite a no. of reviews, I finally went out to buy a Sennheiser PX200 headphone. Yes it is certainly 10x better than the stock earphone. The reviews reported that PX200 headphone bass is not deep enough which is not true. I have not even burn-in my PX200, and yet I found that the bass is quite deep. The mid is so so but tolerable. At least the singer is not muddle out by the music which is happening with the stock earphone.

I can recommend the AKG K27i. I use it with my T30 and it sounds awesome. Since it's specifically designed for mp3 players, the volume output will be better with this headphone compared to the K81 (which will save battery life).
Interesting to read that supposedly that the stock T30 earphones are Senn MX500. I have a pair of Senn MX500s which I bought directly after I got my T30 and they are definitely different than the ones that came with the T30 (and they sound a lot better, too)... i think i read somewhere that the stock buds are mx400's, not 500's... but i've readstuff pointing to both...
maybe it depends on the version? also, another good phone for portables is the KSC75... it's like 20 bucks, and sounds great... |
