Formatted T10MTP through computer now it just reboots on and off
hello,
I have went through the forums and tried to help myself with this, but since messing with it for about 5 hrs, i am asking for help! Here's what i did, i wanted to be able to put other backgrounds on my player (T10 MTP), i went and used the firmware updater and changed it to UMS from MTP(had v. 1.70). Then i went and clicked: Start/MyComputer/ right clicked on the T10 and reformatted(again) it though that way, lost everything which i knew was gonna happen. Now after i turn it on, it just turns on and off constantly, showing the Iriver screen for a second and turns back off then back on. I downloaded the firmware that came with it when i got it (v1.50 i think it was) I plug it in using the usb cable and make a folder and call it "Data" and put the firmware in there like that. Then use the updater and i keep getting the message "cannot find update information in the INF file". I've copied the Hex file into the player but it doesn't help. Can someone please tell me what i need to do so i can get my T10 working again. Oh and the Updater says i need to be connected to the internet, which i am, and i have allowed my firewall to allow it access in and out, but is says it's not connection is not connected (reading and searching the net as i do this all the while) Info: Windows XP Home Edition, WMP10. My music is in wma, not drm protected either. Somebody help!!! UPDATE!!! ok, found out what i did wrong. I went and reformated and only did a FAT format. FAT32 messed me up and i wont mess with it again. After 7hrs of messing with this, i'm going to bed! P.S. Great site! Last edited by uponthis : July 29th, 2006 at 03:25 AM. Reason: update info |
