New T10 Firmware

http://nyaochi.sakura.ne.jp/iriverupdate/

They have posted 1.72 firware for the T10.

Has anyone upgraded their T10 from 1.70 to 1.72?

What differences have you noticed?

Three of those links actually download exe files, that don't run. Fishy. I'll
wait for some official announcement. The header that H3Mod uses to
identify the firmware type has changed. I have to investigate if I still can
use the same decryption, once I force it to recognise these files as T10 FW.

You have convince me to NEVER visit MisticRiverMisticRiverMisticRiverMisticRiverMisticRiverMisticRiverMisticRiver's site and to notify the FBI about your threats to perform DoDS attacks on this site. You claim you are for free speach but you are doing exactly the reverse of what you are proposing.

What on earth are you talking about? Stop trolling.

About the firmwares: I checked them in a hex editor, and after some changes
to H3Mod (available for download on http://www.cerebus.de/iriver) I can open
them, and they look like firmware alright. Just renamed the exe to hex. Still,
even though they come directly from iriver's server, I'll rather wait for an
official list of changes before I upgrade.

I've just got two 2gb T10 from japan. The first one was bought on june 4th and had firmware v 1.5.
The other one haw bought a few days ago and it already has firmware 1.72 JPN.

When I plugged the first one to iriver plus 3, it upgraded it to 1.7 EU!!!!

why EU?? it's the japanese version! and the other one already has 1.72 from factory!
