Angry Can't upgrade t10

I hope someone can help. I recently purchased a t10 MTP. It currently has v1.54. I've followed the update procedure & everything works fine until it asks "f/W upgrade - are you sure". I reply yes, push the center button, it says "please don't touch during upgrade" for about 3 seconds, then the unit turns off. I've tried this several times, even leaving it off for 1/2 hr. When I turn it back on & check it's still v1.54. The help desk is closed today, so hope someone can help. Thanks

Weird, how are you optaining the update? Try using the iriver plus software to perform the upgrade. If that is what you are doing try the following link for alternate upgrade

http://www.iriveramerica.com/support/mtpupdate/

LEt us know how you get on

Talking Firmware upgrade issue with T10 MTP v1.54

Hi there, I just bought a refurbished T10 MTP with firmware v1.54 and I got exactly the same problem as you that T10 turns off while upgrading the firmware.
After browsing this forum I found many user had upgrade issue on older firmwares. So I tried to downgrade my firmware and upgrade it again which worked out.

Here is what I did,
I downloaded v1.53 firmware from iriver website
http://www.iriver.com/html/support/d...ew.asp?idx=712

put all uzipped 1.53 files into 'data' folder my T10
unplugged USB connection of T10 to downgrade to v1.53
After the firmware changed v1.53, I can use the official 'iriver firmware updater' to update to newer firmware.
Note: even though the updater show it's updating to v1.70, it actually upadate to v1.63 first and I had to update it again to v1.70

Hope this will help ppl with v1.54 firmware problem
