T30: Ogg Vorbis low-bitrate

While the Ogg Vorbis support is advertised as "up to Q10", which in my opinion means "from the lowest bitrate/quality to Q10", Vorbis files lower than Q2 don't work for me! Are there any chances that Vorbis support will be updated to cover the complete bitrate range?

I have tried Q0 (44.1kHz, 16bit)... and, as I can remember, it worked... O_o

Maybe the problem is that I'm using the aotuv-tuned Vorbis? Only the first 2-3 seconds of these files play...

Edit: that's it. Q0 using the original xiph.org Vorbis 1.1.2 works. A pity that aotuv it its newer revisions especially included low-bitrate improvements.

It's even more complex, aotuv b4.51 in fact DOES work at low bitrates. The culprit were the blacksword SSE3 optimizations... buggy?

O_o

... good to know, I have used both "official" and aoTuV without additional "opitimisations"

I'm using the blacksword oggenc2.exe with my T30, no problems at all. Works fine from Q-1 to Q7 but haven't tested Q8 or higher yet. The regular aoTuV 4.51b also works ok from Q-1 to Q7 and probably to Q10.
Try this:

Just rename it to oggenc.exe and use foobar2000 to encode. Fine every time.
Maybe you guys are using super old firmware? Try 1.71 UMS.
