I think I know what you're talking about, I had the same problem...
As far as I can tell, the folder setup you want doesn't exist. I'm not even sure why they let you make folders. It's early, and my thinking isn't up to par, so maybe someone else can make more sense... But basically, you have to do everything by playlist(s). You make different playlists, and listen to your music that way. It can be a hassle, but once you get used to it it's not so bad. I still wish they would let people do it the way you're talking about though. And then when you get setup, you go to your playlists and click on the one you want to listen to, basically. A pain, and it would be nicer to organize everything how YOU want it, instead of how IRIVER wants it *cough cough hint hint* but them's the breaks, at least until it's time to buy the next player, that is... And I think I see your problem... You have to run WMP10 to make and sync playlists to the player. I think I read some people say you could drag'n'drop from start menu, but I think it would be a big jumble that was arranged by artist ID3 tag... Last edited by beany : July 12th, 2006 at 06:12 AM. |

You can always update to the UMS firmware... this allows you to use your T10 like a harddrive. In addition it can be used anywhere, not just in Windows+WMP. No limits on folders or anything as far as I know.

playlists are still (a bit) buggy (verified with 1.70 ums on either windows/iriverplus, linux/orthoB's pythonscripts and macos x/orthoB's pythonscripts): see ths thread "Playlists/Quicklist on T10" here in the forum
