HELP - T30 Displays a Padlock at Power on!

Some background: MY T30 has been on the bedroom shelf for a month. Prior to today I've never had any problems with my T30.

Today I took it out of the box, installed a new fresh alkaline battery, and tried to turn it on. As soon as I hit the power button, the display lights up and displays a "Padlock" symbol. To be more specific, it display a padlock with International "No" symbol around it. In other words it looks like a circle with a line thru the center of the circle and a padlock inside the circle as if it is saying "No Padlock". This symbol only displays for about 3 seconds and then the unit turns off.

Anyone have any idea what the heck is wrong or how to fix it?

Thanks

DOH!!! What a DA I am.

I've had this player for a year and have never had the Hold switch hose me up before. I carry the T30 in my pocket (actually I have two T30's) and have never seen the lock symbol displayed before. You would think all the in and out of pocket activity I would have hit the switch before now. Since I'd never seen it before I was sure the T30 was acting up. My bad

Thanks for helping me see the forest for the trees.
