T30 sound quality question.

Hi, I have a Iriver T30 player with MTP 1.71 firmware. Is it normal that with normal EQ there is no BASS? Of course, with SRS WOW settings there is basses. Can you set your EQ to normal and listen for basses? Is there much basses or isnt there basses at all? Of course, with non-stock earphones.

Since you mention you "have" bass when SRS is activated we should be able to assume your T30 is capable of producing bass frequencies.

If I understand your question correctly; When using the T30 and adjusting the "User EQ" (User Equalizer)... which is adjusted by accessing; Settings... then Sound... then User EQ... and then adjusting the Bass slider (i.e., the far left slider on the equalizer)... the answer is "Yes". If I move the slider graphic all the way to the top, it most definitely has Bass! No doubt about it.

This may be obvious, (but I'll mention it just in case) ... the best way to adjust the User EQ is when a tune is actually playing. Start playing one of your favorite tunes (one that you know has some good bass) then adjust the User EQ as described in the paragraph above. You should easily be able to hear the difference in bass when moving the far left slider from the very top to the very bottom.
