Unhappy Firmware 1.70 issue

Hi! First post here!
I bought a T10 yesterday (1GB FM UMS). It came with firmware 1.21. After installing iriver plus 2, I was asked to upgrade to 1.70, which I did.

Before the upgrade I had five pages:
[Music][Browser][FM Radio][Recording][Settings]

After the upgrade I have:
[Music][FM Radio][Recording]

Browser and Settings are gone. Also, some messages on the display were in Chinese. I tried to downgrade and succeeded only to go to 1.51. However, I still miss Browser and Settings in the menu.

What can I do to get the player back to a full feature set?

Go back to the settings again, they'll be back.

Eh... what do you mean? In the T10 menu, I go from MUSIC > FM Radio > RECORDING > MUSIC > FM Radio > RECORDING ... and so on.

What do you mean by "go back to the settings again"?

Thanks!

Hmm, when that happens to me if I close the settings and reopen them they work correctly again.

The thing is that I never opened Settings, since that menu option never shows up. Same with Browser...

Hi Andreas,
A similar thing just happened to me as I updated my MTP from 1.23 to 1.54 . I ended up pluging the USB in and out a few times, and also turning the unit on and off a few times. At one point, when I turned the T10 back on, I scrolled in the reverse direction < and the [Settings] reappeared. Also, the [Browser] magically reappeared as well.
I guess just keep trying.
Good luck.

I upgraded my T10 MTP to 1.70 with no problems other than I had to reload all my music to it when it was all done.

It happened to me each time I changed firmware. Turning off and on again solved the problem.

Language problems? It is not that difficult to change the laguage, is it?
Cheers!
