T10 failed to install

hello

i plugged in my new T10 1GB to the usb port. windows xp informed me that found some new device, but eventually it did not installed it. now every time i connect it to the usb, is says something about unrecognised device or malfuctioning. it does not appear in my computer as an external audio device. any suggestions how to make it work?

ps. it is european, mtp version

You need to have Windows Media Player 10 installed on your system or your computer won't recognize the T10.
