Angry S10 not recharging

I charged my S10 last night on my windows box until the battery indicator was no longer filling. I removed the device, which turned off, and put it in my bag. 8 hours later, I leave for work, and go to turn the unit on, but it refuses to activate, eventually giving me a "low battery" warning. I grabbed my usb adapter so that I could charge it at work.

When I got to work, I plugged it into the USB hub on the mac, because the mac was on, but the PC wasn't. The unit showed the usual charging screen. I gave it about half an hour, then safe-disconnected, figuring that it would have enough charge to turn on, at least. The mac still gave me a "device removed improperly" screen, though (maybe I removed it too fast?). Now the S10 it won't turn on at all, won't give me the battery charging screen no matter which computer I plug into, and won't even show the "low battery" warning that I got earlier.

Has anyone seen this before? A USB is a USB; the mac shouldn't've broken it, but I don't know what on earth is going on.

thanks,
hedge

Cool solved!

Well, I've been getting increasingly frustrated all morning, and finally tried the reset button, which turned the unit on and everything is now functioning properly. My music is even still there, which means that my understanding of the reset button was flawed, but at least it was in my favor.

So, FFI, try the reset button if this happens to you!
