New S10 owner with picture viewing question...

Hi all,

Great forum, just what i needed to find. And sorry if my question has been posted before but i couldnt find any answers.

Im wondering how to get a photo to display full screen (like the iRiver pics that come with the S10 do). No matter how i resize or adjust, they show up as smallish in the middle of the screen, whether they are 5mb in size or just 50kb in size. Is this normal? I am using bitmap photos converted from jpeg using Irfanview. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

after you have them sized just like the iriver photos that came with it (can't remember the exact pixels ratio (176xsomething?))... .change the orientation on the pics that don't come out correctly on ur s10 to landscape in your photo editor and resave it. that should work...let me know.

If you still get the error, just stick to paint or photoshop to do the converting, might run into less weird errors or whatnot. I have heard of Irfanview but never used it before.

I didn't even know iRiver Plus could convert pictures, lol. Been using photoshop for like 13 years now, and I use to work with now, in my mind, it's the only photo editor and converter that exists.

Na, looked around in the program, can't find any option. Just grab photoshop or whatever or just use paint, both are more than sutible to work.

I hope that I did not understand something wrong... but I uploaded some Pics with different size to the S10 simply by choosing in the IRIVER Plus 3 and transfered afterwards to the S10. They fits perfect on the screen, so I thought that they became converted.

176 x 220. If they use the same algorithm than on the H320, any multiples
of this should show full screen (352 x 440, 1760 x 2200...)

96x128 Pixels BMP format.

If you allow iRiver 3 to convert them, they turn out perfectly, and the file size is usually around 35k, which is very small for a BMP file.
