Hi,

what are your favourite song to proove the superb sound of the s10? Focus is QUALITY of sound, not of the song a all. I often like to astonish my apple loving friends to show the sound of iriver is best in the world.

Change of Seasons by Dream Theater would be my pick. It sounds the best of all songs I have of mine.

They are actually one of my favorite bands, but they are also one of the few that sound so good. Another band I can think of is Apocalyptica, they are also very crisp.

I second, third, fourth, and fifth Dream Theater. They are a fantastic sounding band, and superbly produced, and IMO should be experienced on your DAP. I also highly suggest Six Degrees Of Inner Turbulence, especially CD 2.

Speaking of Dream Theater, their albums, Liquid Tension Experiment, before they became DT were awesome also.

There are a lot of...!

Relax! from Frankie goes to Hollywood is allways a good choice for me. But to be honest... I try allways with some Rammstein-tracks too. Even I hear at home with 6 Bose 901-IV/V Speakers I find allways new fine and special parts when I listen with the S10 oder the N10. And nobody should now say that the Bose 901 are garbage...

I prefer also a Swiss Group named "IRRWISCH" which plays there own style, influenced closed by Pink Floyd or Genesis... (www.irrwsch.ch)

Yep, or most stuff produced by the likes of Trevor Horn or William Orbit, they use productions which really push the limits of audio.
Relax is a very basic song, and yet has many subtle sounds amongst it's deep baseline & percussion.

This is a great topic to explore. I would like to suggest more of orchestral music, like Wagner's Overtures and Richard Strauss's A Hero's something. And of course, Bach's Bradenburg...

There is always Atom Heart Mother by Pink Floyd, and their Meddles.

BTW, I loved Liquid Tension Experiment, but I didn't realize they morphed to DT...weird.

As for pop music, all of the following really shine on my S10

- I.G.Y by Donald Fagen

- Jealous Of Youth by the The

- Bad Man's Song by Tears For Fears

- Rise Above It by the Afro-Celt Sound System

- Morris Brown by Outkast

- A Moment With You by George Michael

- Bittersweet by Me'Shell N'DegeoCello
