Is There Anyway To Skip From Folder To Folder By Double Clicking With An N12?

Hi All,

I recently purchased a n12 out here in Korea (I broke my n10 via the laundry machine). I've noticed there is a slight difference in the firmware in the n12...and for some reason, they decided to take out the option where you could set it to skip folders by double tapping the fast forward button. This sounds like a minor issue, but it makes navigating much more difficult (I have to look at the player, hit the menu key, sift through the folders and from there skip to the song I want) as opposed to just walking, double tapping and then single tapping to get to the song I want. I can't believe they released the n11 and n12 without this feature! Is there anyone here with an N12 who knows how to set it to skip folders by double clicking? I've tried to find an online manual for it but can't seem to find one...and even if I could, it would probably only be in Korean...

I also thought of a potential solution but don't know how to implement it (and was wondering what you guys thought). I can't see a reason why the n10 firmware wouldn't work on a n12 player (as it's just software right?). I have the old music manager to transfer files so it would be no big issue. I'm going to ask the guys at the shop here if they can do that but something tells me that they just wont...

Does anyone know of a way to safely force the n10 firmware onto a n12?

Any advice or input is greatly appreciated!

Many thanks! ^^

can anyone send me the n10.sys file?

Hello Again,

I went to the shop yesterday and they said it was *impossible* to add the n10 firmware to the n12. Somehow I doubt that but...

If anyone has the n10.sys file (you can view it by selecting folder options - view tab - and selecting show hidden files and folders and deselecting hide protected system files) and could be so kind as to copy the file (not very big, less than 1 MB I think?) and send it to me, I'd be extremely extremely grateful!
