Who has a H110?
i see lots of people on this forum with H120 and H140s but noone with the H110. was this model the ugly duckling of the iHP series or what? i like the colour scheme of the H110 (not as much as that of my champagne H120 though).

I had an H110, and it was my first Iriver unit. I loved it totally, and never regretted buying it as it was all I could afford. I had chatted with a friend at work and told him to research them, as he was going to buy an ipod for his g/f, and he then came back to me and offered to buy the H110.........which left me the only option to get an H120.......which is just as great, only 10gb bigger!!!
As soon as I can afford on I will be buying one of the new players for my g/f. I rivers rule!!

I bought mine after extensive research and it was what i could afford.......a shade under £300!!!!!
Ironic really, but almost as soon as I had bought it, the prices came down. i have since bought an H120 for £200....... But, at the end of the day, if you always hold out for a better deal, and never commit, you will never own any Mp3 players, or other stuff you might want, at all!!

i hate falling prices - was in NZ april 2003 and we thought we'd buy a digital camera duty free, so we got a canon powershot A40 for $600AU or something. brought it back home and a couple weeks later the A50 and A60 were released - and we couldve got the A60 with one more megapixel for $50 less than we paid for the A40. moral of the story? dont buy sh!t from new zealand!

I bet you million bucks that if you hadn't bought it in NZ, the price would never have dropped at all back home. Sod's law is a bastard like that.

well i learnt a lesson - no matter how expensive techy stuff might be in australia - its always more expensive somewhere else. so i wont buy techy stuff from NZ again
i got lucky with the digital camera i bought though - i got a dolphin jazz (built on the same platform as the sony cybershot-u except it has SD expansion) for $60, with working flash and everything (many models on ebay at the time didnt have functioning flashes). i noticed a number of other jazz' go for at least $20 more, so im happy with that. shame it eats batterys like a bitch

When did you first buy it? Year?
Is it thinner than the H120? |
|
|||

Its got the same dimensions as the H120, but has half of the RAM, and so wont work with rockbox unfortunatly

I was going to buy one. But at the time, they retailed for $285 at the cheapest. For 3 months i saved up cash for a player, and by the time i was able to afford one, the prices on the 110 kept rising, while the 120's prices came down. So when the 120 became cheaper, it only made sense to buy that instead..for $280...and a week later i found out the 110 had been discontinued. Looks like i made a good choice....

Ihp110
I bought mine just as they came out, I was going to buy an IHP100 and when I tried to buy it the 110 was out for the same price!
Now I've hit the DRM problem though and am looking for a new player. I river has been pretty good so far so I'm inclined to stick with 'em. Any suggestions as to what I should buy? Do any of them get around the DRM problem? |
