Tag Database Tool success - thanks, Ewan
Not really new news, but I just wanted to say that I installed an iHP database this morning using Tag Database Tool (TDT) and it worked marvelously smoothly, automatically truncating (as I had optioned) my 300+ too-long filenames down to 52 characters. I especially like the ability to customize the databasing, as well as the ability to reverse the renaming, should iRiver finally eliminate the 52-character limit in a (future firmware upgrade). And the detailed file report was a nice surprise as well.

Kudos to Ewan for TDT!

Just a mention that I too used Ewan's software last night after spotting the link in his sig, sort of on a whim. But I'm certainly glad I did!

Sorted out a lot of my db errors and everything is running smoothly.
