Thumbnail of album covers?

Whilst browsing my audio collection I spotted that Winamp downloads a little thumbnail image of the currently selected title's album cover.

Would it be possible for the H140 players to display this on the screen? This would be pretty neat.

Well if it would be possible, then I think it's not coming to H100series. The LCD-screen ain't good enough. H300series is much more possible.

It would have to be a 4 color greyscale image to work. But yeah it would look rather crappy.

The new color iPods do this, I think, but not the H300s for some reason.

Maybe because data about the song such as bitrate, EQ etc is more important to most iRiver users.

Yeah this would be a cool feature - as it is by putting a JPG called folder.jpg in folders will, when in thumbnail view of windozeXP, will give you a lovely little icon of the folder. As picture viewing is run in a seperate 'program' on the H3XX (ie the music can't be played) there would need to be a big update to the firmware - which as we all know is already behind schedule.

I agree!

Photo iPod has album covers...

iRiver H-series has superior sound quality, battery life, file format playback, recording capabilities, filetree mod...

You get the picture. Personally I'd never use it. I never look at the screen when I playing music really. I navigate with the remote. Something else iPods cant do!
