How scratched/damaged is your player?

Had my player about a week and its getting a few little marks, nothing that really bothers me though - iSkin I ordered should be here by the end of the week and that should protect it!

Wonder how your players are going!

I have a little tiny scratch on the screen. It's hardly noticable though.

My H320 has some very fine scratches on the back. Annoying thing is, they're from the protective case...

Mine was scratch free until I got the iSkin and dumped it in the small pocket of the laptop bag with my PX100s. The only part not covered by the iSkin, the joystick, got horribly scratched. The screen protector got a minor scratch in the bottom left corner. The rest is perfect though. From now on though, when I dump it in my bag I put it in the clear iSkin accessories bag also.

I have a little line on mine i noticed last night. On the top part of the chrome, there is a line that reflects the light differently. It's perfectly straight, so I'm guessing it was a mistake when the unit was manufatctured.

Don't really bother me, especially when I get my Arctic iSkin I'll hardly be able to see it!

The case wounded mine too. There is a long line with no paint on on the back edge as well as the scratches that you mentioned. The front is immaculate though.

I've had mine for several months now and have a grand total of zero scratches.

Mine's still in pristine condition, and it goes with me everywhere; 4 flights per week, workouts in the gym, at my desk at customer sites. I've had it since February, but it never leaves its OEM case.

Admittedly, when it's not in use on travel days, it sits inside my Bose QC2 headphone carry case. On non-travel days, it's either in use or bouncing around in my laptop bag in the same big pocket as my digital camera, cell phone, PDA, sunglasses and other junk.

Get an iSkin! Lose that bulk! I just have. It's great.

No more scratches from here on out!

Tell me about it! Like others, the front of the player is fine but the back is covered in fine scratches from the gosh darn casing.

IMO, the player felt so vulnerable without an iSkin - even with the stock case.

No more scratches ahead!

8 months of using it and no scratches to report!

Though I have to say that it is always in it's "fuggly" case...

Mine has no scratches. I've had it for six months now, I think.

But it almost never leaves the case. Except right now, as it's connected to my stereo, and the line out is covered by the damn case. I feel the player is well protected in the case. It's just a pity that the color is so horrible, the player looks so much better without it.

I am getting the impression iSkins are necessary. Having only handled an H140 in the shop, I have no experience yet - but do people think I should invest in an iSkin so it's ready and waiting for my shiny new H140?

Oh yes, most definately, Duke - if I'd've had my iSkin from the beginning (9 months ago), I wouldn't even have had the 2 minor scratches on the back of the player ...
