I would really appreciate being a member of that wish list reserved pile. I would orer now but my car needs new cv joints both sides and thats 300 quid (600 dollars) but the minute I get flush again the order's going in. I am going to experiment with the cf hdd mod/tweak/whatever.

You're on the reserved list.

Any chance I could get on the reserved list? I really want one, but since its the end of the semester as well as the end of the school year, my cash flow is the lowest it has been all year.

Any stock other then what you've listed at theiriverstore jeff? I would expect the remaining 5 to go pretty quickly.

If iRiver had a bunch of these still on hand, what are the odds they still have a stock of various iFP's somewhere? I lost my T10 in Houston/Hobby and just recently lost the battery door on my iFP-899, which seems to be coming up on the end of its days.

Thanks a lot, jeff! Much appreciated =) I'll let you know when I put the order in. Wouldn't happen to have any accessories for the h120 lying around, do you? It would help me save on the ridiculous shipping costs.

Any chance someone could compare sound quality between the clix2 and the h120? From what I've heard about each DAP individually, its no contest which is better, but I've never gotten an opinion from someone who has A-B tested both. If what I assume is correct, the clix2 is on its way out.

I own an H340 and love it to bits but given the buzz surrounding these H120s my curiosity and the price got the better of me.

I've just purchased 3 which I'll rockbox; give one each to the parents and play around with the last! Given it's size over the H340, I'm thinking about using the H120 soley for stealth recording at gigs - I assume that it'll be more than capable of meeting this task?

Superb! Thought as much.

Jeff, I don't suppose you have any compatible UK chargers available to save on shipping costs? Thanks.

This thread may help: Alternative Chargers for the H100's

I just tried the H120 in my Jeep's system using the dedicated line-out and must say it is the cleanest DAP I've heard. It blows away my Classic, the Cowon U3, Sansa e280, iRiver e100, and my old H320: no hiss, crisp sound........ Me wub.........

I'm a bit sad when I realize what I've been missing--a feeling balance by the Viagra-like effect of knowing what lies ahead! If Sweetie wouldn't kill me on-the-spot, I'd buy at least three more of these beauties. I have the cash; unfortunately, the sense of self-preservation runs strong in the men of my family, so........

Is the sound that superior to the H300 series? I use Sennheiser earbuds but I'm no audiophile ripping at 192 bit rate.

Ha hahahahaha... perhaps Jeff could a couple aside for you and could purchase one every 2 years to lessen the impact?

Good plan, but I couldn't expect Jeff to do that.... Too many people want one.

And, to my ears and based on really just a short time listening, the H100 is FAR superior to the H300 series--which was excellent in its own right. I rip VBR 160-320 mp3, BTW.....

What am I typing!?!? N/M!!! The H100 series SUXORZ!!!! Don't buy one!!!!!

Yeeessssss.... Covered that rather nicely.......

bbd perhaps it would be an ida to get the cf to 1.8"ide adaptor and a couple of camern sino batteries, that wouldprovide a little future proofing perhaps?

Ive got 2 adaptors, 3 batteries (for h340 ad ihp120) and will be getting some cf's whn price drop a bit, gotta be worth it to be able to prolong the players life a bit without risking getting several of the same player?

I've thought of those things, but I'll wait til the HD and/or battery need swapping out, first.... But RB is a must, sooner rather than later--ironically, the 'pod has given me the "gapless" bug and I was really jarred by that artificial gap tonight.... Still, a small gap is well worth it to hear such stellar playback. I thought I was impressed by the H320......

The downside: I'm even MORE pissed iRiver let the H100 line get away! What a great machine! If they'd only just taken after the iPod model of developing a line...... *sigh*

I must console meself with my new Classic--of the iRiver variety, that is......
