inline battery mic preamp - any use with H120?

I've seen this product on Ebay (3.5mm - 3.5 mm INLINE MICROPHONE BATTERY PRE AMP MODULE on eBay, also, Microphones, DJ Equipment, Consumer Electronics (end time 22-Jan-08 21:32:03 GMT)) and I was wondering if it would boost the iRiver's performance with an external mic. Any comments anyone?
