iriver flashing recharge light
Hey gurus! Do you think there's any way to resuscitate an h120 with a flashing recharge light? I'm thinking if it's just the charging circuitry maybe it can be fixed? I'm looking at this one because it would be cheap to ship since it's close to me (maybe even local pickup):
iRiver iHP-120 (H120) 20gb mp3 player (won't boot) - eBay (item 170181718828 end time Jan-04-08 17:15:28 PST) Not sure if you've heard of that problem before. I searched around and found a few threads with suggestions, but nothing really definitive... Thanks |

The flashing recharge light normally indicates that the battery is disconnected or has a fault (i.e. exhausted).
Try replacing the battery and see if the light stops flashing. There is a battery replacement guide link in my signature. I would recommend Cameron Sino branded batteries, available from several ebay stores for reasonable prices. The highest capacity available is 2200mAh, which is a 70% increase in capacity when compared with the original battery (1300mAh).

Hm, so if it's cheap enough I may give it a try. I'm always wary of getting fully functioning ones off ebay because they get quite expensive, and you could easily end up with a hard drive on its last legs.. or battery.. or both. Plus it's more fun to tinker
Anyway thanks for the tips, I'd never seen the flashing light problem mentioned before but I knew someone on here would have :-p |
