H120 battery

Can you replace the battery of the iRiver H120? Where do you buy one and how much does it cost?

You can and it has been talked about quite a bit in these forums. An excellent "how to" can be seen here: http://www.misticriver.net/wiki/inde...ry_Replacement

There are also many places to purchase batteries at varying prices. I just replaced mine last night (stock 1300maH to a 1800maH). It's made for 1st & 2nd gen ipods and is slightly wider than the stock battery but it does fit. You just need to swap the wires on the mini plug to match the polarity of the irivers. I got my battery here at the crazy price of 5$. https://eshop.macsales.com/item/Newe.../BIPOD1800M12/

I can recommend the seller on ebay called lickety split who sells Cameron Sino batteries for $20 delivered from Hong Kong.

And yes, remember to reverse the polarity...

I have also bought (a spare) from licketysplit with no problems. The one I bought was sold as a H140 battery, so no wire swapping should be necessary (but I'll check the leads when the time comes to make sure). It also came with a Torx 5.

Yes, but also keep in mind that Ipod 1G/2G battery is also a suitable replacements for H120, it is however, slightly thicker than the H120 battery (would require to apply some pressure when closing the case) and will require polarity switch(the black and red wire), but the 2200 mah capacity and cheaper prices is really paying off for the extra work.

Just received a 2200mAh Cameron Sino battery from Hong Kong purchased thru ebay, seller "ecapacity" for $23.00. NEW High Capacity Extended 2200MAH iRiver Battery H120. The package states "for Iriver, H110, H120 H140, I am assuming that I do not have to mess with the leads. Will I fry my H120 if I am wrong?
