wipe clean
If I wipe my hard drive clean what software do I need and where do I get it . Also what is the iRivNavi file on my player and how do I down load it. Thank you.

You can format (wipe clean) the hard drive using the format option in the iriver firmware Just go menu -> general->format and select yes.

IIRC the iRivNavi file is the database, and the player will rebuild that on it's own...

and if you want to REALLY wipe your drive, you can buy or get security wiping software that wipes the drive multiple times and in a method in keeping with government standards for this. cnet.com's software downloads section always is a good place to look.
