If you're in the USA, most Best Buy stores have it on clearance for $214.99. I got mine during the Columbus Day weekend sale for $177.18 out the door.

an ihp120 for under 200 (much less 250)? I don't beleive that. Bestbuy's website doesn't even have it, nor do any of their locations near me. I have never seen one new for under 300. I sure wouldn't mind a link to where you guys see/beleive in that price though.

Las Vegas area stores also had them on clearance for $172 but are now sold out.

Actually....if you can get me a receipt scan from anyone who bought it at that price, or a shelf tag scan, one of the stores here in FL will price-match it. That's how I got mine at that price.

Nope - the one I got was factory sealed. ALL the ones in the stores I've been to have been factory sealed, unopened.

I've been looking my butt off for one of these at a good price, but I'm not in the states to visit a Best Buy (plus this deal seems a little bit old).

I have an address in the US but I am currently in Taiwan. If anyone can help me find a deal on one of these for <$250 that I can have shipped to my US address (which I can have forwarded to me), I would greatly greatly appreciate it (maybe commission? lol). Ebay deals and online vendors (looking at pricegrabber, froogle, etc) all are around the same $290-300 minimum.

If anyone recently took advantage of it and can help me out and has a paypal account, that'd rock

I don't understand why you try so hard to save a few bucks on a DAP you are going to use for the next few years. $286 plus a free head phone is a damn good deal at ecost.com with free shipping no tax.

Because eCost.com is a rip-off artist. Take a look at their rating on ResellerRatings.com - 4.65 for a 6-month, 6.04 lifetime. Those are TERRIBLE figures and many people have been dissatisifed with them. They arbitrarily change their mail-in rebate criteria to invalidate people, when you try to return an item they either won't respond or charge you a ridiculous fee, and their customer service is horrible.

All in all, STAY AWAY from eCost.com - trust me on this one.

In reality, it could be replaced within a year. With new innovations coming out things like the h120 may have substantially lower resale value. When people have recently been acquiring these for almost $100 less than "standard" price, it is saving more than just "a few bucks", given the budget some of us work with. If I only wanted to save a few bucks, I could just get an iPod, and am still contemplating it.

This is new to me. I have never used this site. I used amazon and dell a lot. I returned Dell DJ without too much hassle. Dell service is ok as long as you can understand their english. What other site do you recommend?
