Fried IHP-110, help wanted!

Hi all guys on this wonderful community!

I posted my "fried IHP -story" to sticky thread "Repair of fried players - maybe possible".
Since nobody has replied so far (since 23rd Jan), I try to get some help here.

The main question is: Might be that the "main board" (processor etc...) is dead, since my player has got 11VDC with correct polarity and nothing visible damage on the inside components.

Pls. find more on my topic sticky thread "Repair of fried players - maybe possible".

Thanks in advance and let´s keep on rocking (not frying and/or crying... )

I fried a h120 once and it had no visible signs of damage but was dead as a door nail. (although repeatedly pressing the reset button would sometimes fire it up.) There is no real way of knowing exactly what you've damaged with the over voltage without actually testing the individual components and replaceing them, there is always the chance of other components being damaged as well. Rockbox may be of some use to you with scematics and components (with links to the manafactures).
Try http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/vie...wareSchematics

I see you've had a look in the repair of fried players thread so have probably seen these links but I posted them anyway

OR as has been suggested on other threads the buy sell trade forum or ebay might be the best bet. That way you end up with spare a case, lcd screen, switches ect ect.
Best of luck with your player .

P.S a search on "fried" will give you a fair bit of info as well. http://www.misticriver.net/search.ph...=1695158&pp=50
