I have posted a new version of my program iRiverSync. This is a free/open-source program for Windows and Mac that allows you to sync your iRiver IHP-1xx device with iTunes just like an iPod! It even automatically regenerates your database and exports playlists from iTunes, all with exactly one click!
This should fix the errors people were having with auto-detection in the last version. You can get it at: http://www.furiousbear.com |

It does full sync like the iPod when used when iTunes. It will remove files from the iRiver if they don't exist in iTunes. But all the synced material is kept on the iRiver in an "iTunes Music" folder. Anything outside that folder will not be bothered or erased.

WOW, this looks awesome. I hate to say this, but I love iTunes, for me it's easily the best player.
I just bought an Iriver H320, it should show up in a few days. I can't wait to try this program- just one problem, the default path issue. All my music is stored on a secondary drive... agitgey, any chance you'll be fixing this soon? Thanks! |

Ageitgey ' Syncing iRiver with iTunes '
I thought that iTunes downloads were protected. Does 'syncing' remove the protection? I have a H120 and they won't play on mine. Am I missing something? Bill Birchall |

attached to this computer. Please ensure that you iriver deivce is connected to your computer and that "CONNECTED" screen is displayed on the device". I also tried it with a h320 that has a 1.27k firmware and it said the same message. Anyone have any ideas?

Quick query: How well does this sync software work with Rockbox?
Does the iTunes-generated database integrate with Rockbox's search functions as well as the bog-standard iRiver version? Or would I need to run the TDT still to use Rockbox's search functions? Cheers in advance
