Wish List/Idea (Flash player in remote)

I know there are other more pressing issues people would like to see resolved with the iHPs but after having mine for a while now, something I'd love to see in a future player is a little flash player capabilty in the remote that you could load directly onto from the unit, only maybe like 64MB or so. As there are times when the iHP can be a fraction bulky in some situations (like going for a run or getting out of the car at the beach), and now I've got this player I hate being away from the music.

I don't know if this would be technolgically feasible yet or not, tranfering data and also not growing thge size of the remote, but I would love to see it when I buy my next Iriver in 3yrs or whatever it maybe.

What do you think of the idea?

PS I know I could just buy a flash player too, but it would be great to have a 2 in 1

i think this is a great idea, and considering the size of iRiver's flash players, it would be able to be done without much (if any) change in the size of the remote.

It would also be nice to use the 64M flash as the buffer.


This of course would knock up the price substantially, so it might be better as an optional feature. Or perhaps they could sell flash players with the feature of working as a remote for the HDD players.
