Distortion on recording Line In

Hello guys

Just a quick question about Line In recording. I can't get the iHP to stop distorting when recording via the Line In from a true Line Out source. I can't find the recording level control in the manual nor by fiddling around. There can't not be one of those but for the life of me I can't find it...

Where is the recording level control? Thanks!

The level adjust is in the main Menu, under Recording. Try setting it at 10, and if that still distorts keep turning it down until it doesn't distort.

I haven't tried line-in recording, but with an external mic recording a concert band I find that setting the level at 10 works best.

Ah thanks. I'll give that a try when I'm back home with the iHP. I'm going to try Mic recording later, but I didn't realise that the Mic level control would apply to the Line in too. The AGC didn't work, should that extend to line out use or just for the mic?

And while I'm on the question of recording, how do you delete recordings? Thanks.

You know the power to delete would be a really nice feature for the iriver. Fortunately, it's not hard to do when connected to a computer.
