Scroll speed so slow..

I have my iHP-120's scroll speed set at 4x, however, when the song title is scrolling, it really isn't very fast. 1x is pathetically slow and I just find 4x rather slow. Am I the only one who feels this way? Any way to make it scroll faster?

I think the speeds could be faster but assume that's the way it is.

Would you prefer it send someone to your house every time you change the song, to let you know what the title is?

But seriously, I also noticed it's a bit slow, but if I'm playing the song, I can usually tell what it is in about 2 seconds by.... *gasp* listening to it!

It's not a matter of knowing what song is currently playing Zeni, it's more a matter of what you're looking at browsing for the next track WHEN you're listening. I've always agreed with this. The scrolling is slow and jittery. It could stand to be a lot more fluid and hella faster. This is something that can definitely be fixed in a firmware patch if they ever decided to do something useful over at kareoke central....

It's definitely a problem when you are trying to search for a song using folder view. All my filenames are "Artist - ## Title.mp3" so it really sucks when all I see is a list of "Artist -" and have to wait to find a song.

I guess I'm just less selective in worries about music, I've taken to just putting on Shuffle All and kickin back without having to worry about hunting and pecking for a new song every 5 minutes.

I hope they add 8x and 16x scroll modes in the next firmware upgrade, as well as making the folder name scroll like the track name does.

Have you suggested this to them? Please do--they might even listen, and employ the easiest and most requested suggestions ...

Or perhaps they'll be iRiver, and do the exact opposite.
