Is the remote of the iMP series compatible with iHP series?

Just an idea, perhaps one can use that remote from the iMP 350 or 400 if the remote of an iHP product is broken or the iHP-300 is delivered w/o lcd remote.

But I suppose that would be too easy to be possible...

As for using with the iHP-300, I doubt it would work, as I'm assuming the interface will be different, i.e. More Simplistic.

But as far as I know, the iMP remotes work just fine with the current iHP players.

I've tried my iMP-350 remote on my iHP-120. It works fine and has much better ergonimics in my opinion, but the contrast is waaay too hight. Even with the minimal setting it is extremely hard to make out, I would be using it all the time otherwise.

I screwed up my IMP remote by trying to switch it. As Adam says, the contrast is all messed up. And now it's permenantly much darker than it used to be. Way too saturated, and it's not pretty. I do like the ergonomics of it more too, but it doesn't really work. Actually, come to think of it, mine didn't work at all. The font came out backwards and sort of scribbly.

You're taking a chance if you try it.
