removing stickers in the back does - this void the warranty?

does removing the stickers in the back void the 1 year limited warranty that comes with the ihp's?

If you do not remove the serial number you should be fine, however should you elect to sell the player leaving the stickers on may improve the price you can expect to get for a used unit.

yea i really dont see a problem with the stickers IMO. sure they have little warnings on them, but they're fine, and might make a mess when removed

maybe its because...the ipod has no stickers?

Use the case. The stickers will not be visible. The player will be protected. Though these things are so handsome I've been tempted to go without the case too....

something about all that shiny black paint and chrome me thinks...

I would say as Alexander Hamilton said in referance to the US Constitution.

"If it doesn't say you can't, then you can"

Don't ask why I remember that...

Basically if it doesn't say "Do not remove", or "warranty void if removed" then i'd say its ok.

Zidric makes a good point, usually those kinds of stickers say "warranty void if removed", certainly computer parts have those types of labels.

However it's always better to be safe rather than sorry, so ask iRiver or the retailer you purchased the iHP from before removing the stickers.

BTW - There's a copy of the serial number on the package. (This is from my experience with my UK/European model, if you have the American iHP with blister packaging, this might not be the case)
