Can't skip through a lengthy track like I was able to before

upgrading to latest firware on the H120. 90% of the mp3s on my player are live dj mixes which are usually over a hour long. I liked the previous firmware's ability to skip through the mix quickly by 7 min intervals. Now I when tap the joystick to the right it automatically skips to the next track. I tried fooling around with scanning and fast skip to see if it was something that was reset after firmware upgrade but it's still not working. Please tell me there is a way to fix this. Also, scanning is now in the crapper as well. After a couple of minutes of scanning it will dramatically slow down and you need to stop and start it up again for the speed to pick up.

Here is my suggestion. Set your study mode to 7 min( menu>mode>stud y).

It works on the unit control. It does not work on my remote. Possible bug?

Thanks though, it made me learn how to use Study mode.

MEHOKIE

Odd, works perfectly well on my 1.60U when I hold the stick over to the right. A tap to the right has always skipped to the next track on every s/w version I've used.

Hmm, I don't remember ever setting that but it looks like it did the trick!!! Thanks so much! I definitely would have been pissed if I lost this ability

Do you listen to anything that may be longer than 7 minutes though? I usually listen to files that are 1hr+. Scanning through that would kill the battery.

Ah, no - sorry, I don't. Didn't appreciate the point you made originally. Must remember to read better before engaging typing mode...

Can someone explain what Study Mode actually does? I haven't had a play with that function yet, or the Intro function for that matter.

When using study mode, you set a time. Everytime you press forward on the stick, the track passes by that amount of time. Especially useful when listening to long recorded radio shows.

Haven't played with intro mode though.
