You could just get a universal adapter. It would solve your problem, and cost less. The majority of Hardware stores sell them

Adapter

If I use an adapter, will it damage the transformer if I use it alone?

Not sure what your asking here, but the adapters are made for the purpose you require. So no damage will be caused

No you will not, infact many units sold in denmark for example just have a small converter for the transformer plug

The adaptor effectively changes the plug configuration. The AC pack is rated for a very wide range of voltages (read on the pack itself), so it will work in most countries as long as you can either get the plugs to fit, or an adaptor.

Try Germany. (That's where I'm living)
I recently bought a US H120 on ebay USA (thanks to the low dollar)
and it works fine using a EUR 7 power adaptor.

Much cheaper and easier to buy one here.

Hope this helps.

I'm in the UK and my US-charger works fine with an adapter. I have also used it without problems across Europe, South Africa, Singapore and Morocco.

Cheers...

I live in Germany and have a US H120. It came with a European plug adapter for my charger and it works fine. The charger will take either 110V or 220V so you just need the adapter instead of a new charger.
