AC adapter lost and must recharge within 24 hours
I seem to have lost my AC adapter. My battery is almost dead and I have a flight at 7:20 Tueday morning. Is there any way for me to get my H120 recharged with parts that I can buy locally?

Easy to do. You will need an AC/DC charger rated to the voltage of the player (don't have mine right now, but think it's 4.5 - 5 volts) and is the right polatity (check the pin polarity, think it is negative) and is the right size. Basicly, you want to find an AC addapter where the symbols on the adaptor match the symbols on the player beside the socket. I think that most sony addapters are compatable, so if you have an old discman, or a freind does, that will probably work. The addapter is common enough, and is a fairly standard type for many elevtronic units, so if you root around, you should find one. BE SURE THE POLARITY IS RIGHT, and double check the voltage, to high will fry it, and to low will wreck the batteries. Also, if the addapter screws up your player, sorry, but I'm warning you now, there is a remote possablity of that happening.
Actully, just read your post properly just now. Mmmmm, where is locally, if its UK or Eire, then go to maplin, they have a battery pack jobbie that does the job brillantly. |

After reading the detail on the AC power control chip, compliments of the rockbox site, I determined that the input DC tolerance for the H140 according to the control chip is 4.5 volts ~ 6.5 volts.
Go HERE for Texas Instruments power control IC decription. But do note that CENTER PIN Positive is a must, not negtiable
