You guys get em a lot cheaper in the US, my H140 cost me £267 inc.postage which is about $490. Just checked the site where I got it and the price has dropped by £15, hate it when that happens.

Because the H1XX's are better/more useful units and are in greater demand, that's why ..............

Presumably the reason for the price fluctuations are to do with the value of the dollar against Korea's currency (whatever that is).

qasim13: http://www.aria.co.uk - they have a fair amount of pretty good deals going on various gadgets, computer bits'n'bobs etc.

My local Dixons is tiny and didn't stock the H140, just the usual players everyone's heard about.

I suppose it is but Dixons is a high street store rather than a mailorder place.

If you can get to a Dixons in one of the UK airports they have a 25% off deal on the H120 - £190 duty free

At least this was in Gatwick North Terminal last weekend..

Know anyone going on holiday?

Well, I ordered my iHP-140 on Friday afternoon, arrived Saturday morning for £253.99 inc P&P. I did find the iHP-120 at £217.51, but decided the extra 20gb was worth it.

So far so good, but cannot get the iRiver Musc manager or WMPlayer to see the player, despite is being a mapped drive, and the IDTag database sync thing, (MoodLogic) working fine. Music transfer via Windows is a breeze, but I cannot pre-set the Tuner (I think) without the software.

It's Music Manger 3.05, and Firmware 1.4, and I followed the instructions (http://www.iriveramerica.com/support...moodlogic.aspx) to the letter.

Any idea ?

If I were to order a H140 from the US for £210 there would be additional insured airmail postage (not cheap) and customs would most likely slap on import duty which is currently 21% + £4 processing fee (pushing it to over £258 not including postage), then there's the worry about anything going wrong with the unit - have to deal with an overseas store which could get expensive on paying for returns.

Which is why I bought from a UK store.

Geez, you all seem to have spent quite a few dollars for your players. I don't mean to brag, but I bought my iHP-120 at the end of June for $289 from newegg.com

But in the end it's not the cost, it's how much you appreciate your player that matters the most.

Well I spose if you payed less money for such a brilliant DAP, you're bound to appreciate it more.

Meh.
