clix wont be recognized and I've tried everything...

Well I just bought the iriver clix, and I got it to work for about 10 minutes, then I unplugged it, for a few minutes and plugged it back in, and it wouldn't work.

I've installed WMM 11 I've uninstalled the driver, I've changed the settings, and changed them back.

The only thing that happens when I plug it in now is, I get a message on the bottom of my screen on the taskbar saying:

Found New Hardware

MTP Device

and it just sits there.

Anyone know whats wrong?

Thanks for the link, it fixed the problem I've been having with my Clix2. Windows XP did not show it in Windows Explorer and kept showing me the "New Hardware Found: MTP Device" message. I read the FAQ and the first tip (pressing the reset button on the device then reconnecting) fixed my problem. I wasted soooooo much time trying to fix the problem. Reading all sorts of "advice" on Google. Should have come here first.
