sudden fault developed with clix

all of a sudden my clix seems to have developed a fault

*EDIT* its the first gen 4gb clix player

normally, playmode is always put on shuffle, and to play music i just go to 'play all' and skip tracks i dont wana listen to.
now, when you click 'play all', the screen slides across as though its about to play something, then before it has scrolled fully across the screen, it just goes back to the menu screen. a small selection of tunes still work, but instead of queueing up new tracks after it, there is just an infinite loop of the same track!
worse still, when i try to access a particular tune vai the 'artist' menu, the song names dont show up anymore, replaced by another menu of the albums....ie: select 'arcade fire' now submenu is album titles 'funeral' and 'neon bible' so i select one of them and instead of it listing the songs from the respective album, it just says 'funeral' and 'neon bible' again, and wont load any song names

has anyone else experienced such problems? how can it be fixed?

its been less than 24 hours and im already suffering horrible withdrawal symptoms!! i didnt realise how important such a little device is in my life! many thanks!!!!
