Question Formatting a 7 hour/1 track Audio Book into tracks (or segments)?

I downloaded an Audio Book from my local library's Audio Book service to my Clix 2, 4GB. This book downloaded in . . .1Track,. . . 7 hours long! I can listen to the Audio book, stop it and turn off the Clix, then return and continue with the book. However, once I switch to music I'm forced to listen to the Audio book from the beginning each time I return to the Book.

I e-mailed iriver, asking them how I can break the Audio Book into numerous tracks (like a music CD) or segments so I can listen to the book for a while, then switch to music, then return to the book without having to start from the beginning of the book each time I resume the book. Here's what the iriver help desk e-mailed back to me:

"While playing the book press and hold right. Change the "search type" to segment (from none). I can't find "search type" on my Clix 2. Can anyone tell me how to accomplish this. . .or place a bookmark where I've stopped listening to my book?

Thanks for your help.

Bonnie

Well, theoretically, depending on the format, you could split it up using something like Audacity (Free). Not sure about the bookmarking on the clix, though. Perhaps it's a feature of a newer firmware update?

Over at clixhere its a big problem with people complaining about it daily, we've compiled a firmware request and that's in there.
Hopefully next release.

You could make it a video.. Blank black screen and use Windows Movie Maker and import the song into the movie... It bookmarks video if I am correct.
