Quick question on alarm clocks

Hi, I'm looking onto buying a clix2 to replace my current player, and I was wondering if you can set the alarm clock tune to a specific song (this is one of the deciding factors of whether I might buy the clix2 or the samsung yp-k5). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, that sounds good. One more question though, Where exactly does the sound of the alarm clock come from? Does it come from the earphones? a small built-in speaker? or do you need to buy a cradle for this?

it has a built in speaker if you have the cradle, if you use the alarm clock without the cradle you have to use headphones.

Would the alarm turn the player on, or would you need to have left the player on all night?

You turn the player off once you've set it and it'll come on when you set it to automatically!!! This is sweet, I just tested it. I set my wake up call as A Change Of Seasons - Dream Theater.

I could not think of a better song! IMO Octavarium is another great choice.

Does the alarm clock work when the player is completely shut off? Don't think so... I have never tried the alarm clock to be honest...

It would not be a very reliable alarm clock if it only worked within 24 hours

Just used it this morning, worked great! I'll fully shut it down and test it for you haxx0. Yep, it works even after being completely shut-down (after 24hours).

For my understanding, clix / clix2 (and maybe E10) use a separate control for time keeping, which is why it operates (somewhat) independently.

Whatever it is, it works extremely well!
I knew about this feature but never figured that I could use it with my speakers, once again the clix suprises me.

I think that my headphones will be great as a passive speaker too... They produce a lot of sound...

If you can get your hands on a pair Logitech R20's are perfect for me, I have two sets, one I have in my computer (I'm no audiophile, obviously) and one on my bed, they plug directly into and standard heaphone jack and give of great sound (still not audiophile..) and are cheap as chips.
