Okay, Clix 2 video conversion problems

Tried to convert two Youtube videos to .avi using youtube-d.com converter... And then to sync them using Windows Media Player.

They were the following:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P9LmHXXWiJs
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQsRRUPmKhE

Well, to start off, my Windows Media Player didn't have the proper codec, but I decided I just might as well sync the videos to my Clix 2. Ofcourse, Clix 2 said the file wasn't supported. So I downloaded a codec pack (which included the ones I needed) for Windows Media Player and so Windows Media Player then started playing the first second or so of each video and then just froze... After this, I decided trying to put the videos on the Clix 2 once again was a waste of time at that point... So that brings me to this forum.

There are so many codec, and I am so new to putting any videos on my mp3 player that I'm lost with this simple operation. Does my Clix 2 have to have a specific codec as well to play them? And won't Windows Media Player play them past the first second?

Thank you very much in advance!

I use iriverter to convert my videos, then I drag them into the videos folder on my clix when it's plugged into my computer.

I'm not sure how stuff works with WMP, but I'm assuming it would put them on the clix like it should if they're already converted.

If I'm wrong, a more experience member will know the correct answer, but maybe that will help you some.

What worked for me is this:
1. Download video from YouTube, using youtube-d converter (which you state you already have)

2. Once you have the YouTube-d AVI file, you'll then need to convert it, using iReverter. Go here:
http://linux.softpedia.com/progDownl...oad-19993.html

3. Make sure iReverter is set to the model of player which you own (I converted several videos which still wouldn't work, until I realized that iReverter was set to convert for a player which I didn't own.

4. Once iReverter converts your video, connect your Clix2, and drag video into the "Video" folder within your Clix2.

5. Disconnect your Clix2, and check out your video on your Clix!

Hope this works for you, it worked great for me!
