i think you can split the files to episodes, by storing data in sharedobjects. that way you can remember settings, highscores and player ships, and have separate episodes, decreasing the amount of free mem needed.

where did the idea of clix being slower come from.. from what i heard the clix had a more powerful processor?

clix has more powerful CPU but people say it lags more on games.
we have all game in one file i think, we dont need splitting.

Well just a sugestion but I would make the + volume button shoot. I would make shooting and moving easier. But it is your game tho

I agree on that point. Also the down button "feels slower" to shot with than the + or - button. (At least thats my experience from the Launch fighters game.)

i planned of making shooting at '-' in my other project.

What will + be used for? Cause it would be possible to accidently hit + if - is shooting. If nothing cool. Could you make it be able to cange the controls in the game? Or is that not possible?

I LOVED TYRIAN FOR THE PC!!!
i think i even have tyrian 2000 installed on this pc right now, yep i do.
one thing though, the game is going to be up and down shooter just like the pc right? the trailer is a bit odd because you have ships facing in all directions o.O good luck!

programming started in the beginning of August, graphics were prepaired earlier by my mate Florian Werner, aka Stormbringer (http://shwet.org/iRiverForum/viewtopic.php?t=3), though were remade some times during making.
release is planned on September.

oh yeh you dont have school.. if i decided to make a game now i'd fail my mid year exams and fail a section of semester 2 :P.. ahhaa

we release it when we finish work and test it for bugs. and optimize code.
