When I had my U10, it's small form factor, and "D-Click" system.

It's a good physical size - small without being fiddly. The D-Click system means that it has a very clean design, with a nice big screen and not too many buttons to clutter the body. It just looks great.

The battery lasts ages, and the volume is good - I can comfortably listen to it with the volume set only to 5.

Lately (and when I bought it I didn't think this would happen!) I've become addicted to the flash games. I've downloaded a whole heap of them and have been playing them a lot!

I'm very pleased with my U10

The iRiver Clix has single-handedly allowed me to get even less work done in a day than I did before! Between the Clix, iRiverter, and my Simpsons DVD's...it's just awesome!

3. Nice looking video (given the limitations)
4. Some fun games
5. Small

Fun, easy to use, great sq, small player, big wow factor.
Overall a very pleasing user experience. I think you really have to own one or at least use it for a few days to really appreciate how great it is.
Pictures and reviews can't do it justice.

I couldn't agree with you more!

After looking at the few images around the place, I was shocked at the actual size and quality of the screen, when holding the real thing in my hand! I'm very happy with my Clix, and at the moment it's being used more than my H340!

Sound Quality is amazing, especially when you get a Custom EQ that suits the music you listen too. Video quality is excellent, and navigation in general is top class!

All in all, an enjoyable, fun packed player!

Absolutely, it just does everything you could need. I wanted a flash-based unit that could read ogg files and play video and still have a long battery life. My 2GB UMS U10 does all that, plus flash games, radio, file transfer... (plus it just looks great). The D click system means that the screen can be large enough to view video comfortably without having to make the player larger to fit the navigation tools on it. Nothing else even comes close.

Everything!

What's not to love? It's a great size, has a sleek look, and can do almost anything. I can read ebooks and listen to my music on the bus, and then switch to radio for the walk in to work. Not to mention video!

The clix has a fantastic design: The black and white gel so well together, and the fact that there are no buttons on the main faceplate creates a great, minimalist feel.

The size of the clix screams compact, but not compact to the point of being uncomfortable to use ala nano.

The screen is also wonderful - It is so bright and very crisp. I also like the fact taht I can set my own wallpapers for customisation.

The radio player is a great and very easy to use addition. Not only that, but the clarity is good also.

Finally, the player sounds very good. I appreciate the EQ settings and the clix is capable of producing some great sound.

Haha and I suppose lucky last... Its not an iPOD!

Hi,
This is my first post here.
My first MP3 player was, of course, a Diamond Rio PMP-300. Back then, I had no idea what MP3 was. A friend told me what they were and I was instantly "turned on". Files as music, I saw the light big time. I got the Rio shortly thereafter. I remember showing my 77 Yr old mom the Rio and playing some techno track I got from MP3.com, she was amazed she sared at the player as though it was a voodoo doll, indeed she was completely clueless how it produced and stored music.

I have been an Irvier fan since owning my first iriver player the SlimX.
I went on to get a IFP-395 and still use it to this day.
More recently I purchased a U10 1GB.

The U10 is really is bit of a work of art. There are things I don't quite like about the interface, but I am so in love with other aspects of it, that it is my favorite player so far.

I am also a PSP owner, and have always felt like it was just too big to be considered "portable". The U10 is ultra portable and very fun to own.

I just wish that there were more useful and or fun flash games or apps to make that feature more useful.

I would like to see more in the way of themes and simple card/strategy games on the U10, but even if they don't come, I am happy.

Oh, I got my U10 !gb from eBay for $105... a bargain.

Iriverter is awesome.

Oh, and I agree, it is not an ipod. I don't want to think different, I want to think.

My first encouter with iRiver was when my brother bought the iFP180T or whatever, the Toblerone bar one was. I thought it was very nice for a flash player, intuitive navigation was the bright spot.

Soon, I found myself buying my first MP3 player which was the iFP790 and I enjoyed it. It's been really handy and did what it needed to do for the last 2 years. Except its 256mb capacity was starting to become a stretch. I needed a new DAP.

So I remember seeing the U10 and thinking how massive the thing was from the few shots I saw online. Didn't think much of it, but knew I was going to get an iriver. A few months passed, and I hear iriver is releasing the Clix. I was sceptical at first, but after finding Mistic River, and finding various reviews, I was impressed. Fortunately those U10 pictures were just optical illusions, with no objects of reference, so when I did see the pictures of the Clix held in a hand, I was very impressed at the small size.

So last night the package arrived and I love the clix. So far I have all my favorite "Recent Music" added in there, with album art. Except I cannot get Muse's album, Absolution, to get art.

The videos are great, I had everything from Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Top Gear, to The Office. I then added some videos from Gametrailers.com for the morning commute to work. It was great, I didn't get a seat on the train, and usually don't. So luckily the night before, and this morning I got up to load some txt files of some news articles I wanted to read.

I was standing there, with one hand on portrait view reading the news. It was great, and people were looking. I was overjoyed. iriver rules, and there is just no other competition. The price is the equivalent to a 2gig Nano, and with the features it comes with, there's no doubt this is a steal.

The best aspects are the D-Click control scheme, it's very intuitive. I have large hands (or long fingers) so 1 hand control on portrait isn't too bad. It does everything I want. Although it'd be nice if there was UMS.

One thing I did find annoying was that I have mine on Custom EQ, and after upgrading to 1.11US, for a few songs, when I skip track, or the song is next on the list, you get the Flat EQ, then suddenly it changes to the Custom EQ, and you notice it. Very annoying and i'll have to bring that up with iriver. All things considered, I'm a very proud Clix owner.

I like how unique it is, the sturdy feeling of it and all the cool extras. Video works great, I can load up subtitled anime on it and still make out the subtitles without any trouble. It's great!

Using WMP for the 2gb it has is actually not as bad as I thought. I'd hate to use it for my H120 (still my favourite) but it suits the clix's smaller capacity which I can see myself changing around more frequently.

Strangely enough I can operate it pretty well with one hand - even in landscape mode - if I use my thumb, my middle finger and my little finger.

I love the fact that the U10 is so small and you can play videos. Also you can read text files on it which is always handy for last min proof reading!!

I wanted to get an mp3 player for my girlfriend to use at work and while working out... for her purposes the cost and capacity are equal to the ipod nano but the clix is a much nicer package. I like how the face has no control panel which seperates it from all the other portable media players out right now. I d buy a second one for myself if they release a 4GB model.
