Goodies
smart key; design and navigation; black front (but it's glossy); videos; USB 2.0; Flash UI (but the "graphical" part of it is ugly, I would want something like the YP-K5); presets and a custom 10 EQ (5 bands); OGG Vorbis; cover art (could be larger); quicklist; myriad of language support; can delete individual audio and video on the go (now onto directories, iriver); FM tuner reception, recording; built-in mic Letdowns

Email this to iriver about getting new firmware for the clix. They will probably take ideas for their new players too so it's better to tell them what needs to be improved before releasing a new player. Last edited by Breakdown : April 4th, 2007 at 06:24 PM. |

I was all ready to purchase and iPod Nano but I then I decided that I really wanted to play video. So after much research I came across the iRiver Clix. I just love this device. It does everything I want and it's intergration with Urge/WMP 11 is perfect. iPod Nano/iTunes what???

I love the overall feel of it.
Love how fast it turns on, no waiting 10 seconds to boot up Dclick is a very very wonderful idea. Cheers to whoever came up with that. Great build quality I love the GUI, nice and easy to learn. Great size...not to big, not to small for people with big hands. screen is by far the best ever (in a DAP of similar price of course) Playlists on the fly is nice included case is nice, cleaner is ok buds are decent, not great..but better then alot of other players out there Love custom wallpapers Games are ok Few of my thoughts.. I posted a similar thread, but its for what you dont like and want changed to the clix. Check it out What would you change or add to Clix?

SRS WOW. I'm a guy BIG on sound. I think the $169~ price tag is made worth it just because of this. Everything else is a bonus.
Haha, well maybe not. But the sound quality is really REALLY great on this device. Nothing compared to the Samsung K5, and the Ipod Nano. |

1. GREAT sound quality
2. very compact - it is actually smaller in real life than what you imagine it to be in reviews 3. fantastic user interface - the 260k color screen is amazing, controls are easy to use, syncing in wmp 11 is easily done - it's like wmp 11 is made for the clix 4. good radio reception 5. 2 GB is actually ok for this player as it compresses videos (mpeg-4) and pics (when you sync them in wmp 11) - i've been able to put 3 full movies, hundreds of songs and pics plus all the flash games etc. 6. text viewer is very handy - e.g. you can put lyrics of songs to sing-along to your music 7. you can easily wipe fingerprints with a soft cloth 8. delete and playlist on the go is very useful 9. customizable wallpaper 10. comes with a pouch and good-sounding stock earbuds, over-all packaging justifies the money spent on the product most important of all: you can always count on the helpful folks at misticriver when you have questions/problems with the player |

The kids wanted those "I" thingys but they didn’t know better. It didn’t take long for them to realize that the clix offers so much more. Of course I had to get one for myself also! Great little device. It pays to do your homework before you buy and not just follow the uneducated crowd.

Tons of things to love about it, but I think the best thing -- and the most unique -- is the dclick navigation. It's brilliant. It's fun to use and easy. Within an hour of taking it out of the box, I was buzzing around the menus with ease and loving it. Kudos to the UI folks at iriver.

Everything! This 4gb Clix is gorgeous, functional, and it gets my teenager a lot of positive attention. She loves the video as well as the music capability. Even an old, techno-deficient middle-aged mom like me can work it!
The black skin looks great and works great. I don't know that it could be improved unless it is upgraded as technology changes become available. FABULOUS device. Husband will get one soon. I wonder if I can get a volume discount on these things? LOL.... |

I LOVE MY CLIX (4GB)
I got it 2 and a half weeks ago, and I LOVE IT!! Pros- -Works -Very easy to organize with WMP 11 -FM Radio Recording -The control system -Flash Content (Allows so much to add to the player) Possibly a calculator, stopwatch, SO MUCH, without firmware updates! - Video is SO SMOOTH (I used an Ipod video, and it's not much difference, considering the Clix's screen size makes it seem smoother) Cons- *Trying to think* *Head explodes* Rating - 1000/10 |

I love how intuitive and small it is. The feature set for the price (FM radio, recorder, text, pics, video, even games) is without compare. I looked into many other MP3 players and definitely would recommend and buy the clix (waiting for clix2 to be released) again.
