maybe the voltages. Not sure if the player's battery is set to be used with Euro chargers, but whatever charger you'd get would go on fire if plugged in in America.

I've e-mailed iRiver and asked them about this, actually - I will post here if they e-mail me back an informative answer.
Some electronics that are meant to be portable (like laptops) work in many different countries without a problem, so you never know. The manual for my H140 says the adapter's operating voltage is 100~240V, 50~60Hz, which I *think* means it could operate in, e.g., Europe as well as the U.S., where I bought it. Hopefully that means the U10 might work the same way. |

I'd be very surprised if it wasn't compatible. The only thing different would be the preset radio stations, which can be changed, and the power cable which also can be changed.

Simply put - Yes. You would, however, need to buy a 3-2 pin adapter for the plug.
About the voltage issue - Sarah, GE (especially) - if I'm not mistaken it's the other way 'round. British devices need 240V to work, which is why, when plugged into a US socket, the US' 100V would never blow a Brtitish device up (seeing as there wouldn't be enough voltage to do so). If, on the other hand, you try and run 240V through a 100V device, however .... |
