Angry Just got my iMP-900 back from iRiver and...

The double-file-skipping problem that I was having when the ESP runs out is gone, but now happens at random times (happened once after 60 minutes of listening to a concert MP3, then again 5 minutes later)! Could this be a firmware issue? Should I switch to another version (currently have 1.30J installed)? What should I do now? This happens on any blank CD-R, with no _particular_ MP3s being played (in other words, it happens on any).

Thanks...

PS: It looks like they didn't even send me a new one! They just sent me back the one I had, but with half the problem fixed. I can tell because it has all of the same settings (including volume level and firmware version) that I left it at. Plus, I recognise the serial number and it appears to match what I wrote down before...

OK. So it looks like they're going to send me a new unit with a paid postage box to send me old one to them. Now, do you think I should be reimbursed for my shipping of the old unit to them? I was told by my uncle that I really should be reimbursed for everything, including the shipping too. I told him that even though I believe so as well, I don't think iRiver would do that. He said that if the enxt unit I get has this problem, that I should try to get 280 $ off them and enver send anything back to them or ever buy from them anymore, since it's very obvious that I'm not satisfied at all with what I have. (A CD PLAYER SHOULDN'T SKIP FILES AT RANDOM!!!)

What's your opinion on all this? Would I get anything back from iRiver? If the second unit comes and it's like this am I just stuck?
