I'm unsure if this horrible glitch is a part of all iMP-900s, or some, but I've noticed the following happen:
When the electronic shock protection runs out due to more shaking, etc than the memory buffer can keep up with the audio playback, the player doesn't pause/mute; instead it JUMPS AHEAD two files! This is a glitch that has annoyed me very much,a s I listen to a lot of high-bitrate MP3s and this only happens on the iMP-900, not any of the previosu models I bought. Unfortunately, I forgot to register the warranty, when I bought the unit in December of 2004. It's been sitting in the box since early July now. The player looks in pristine condition & all. What can I do? I feel like I made a big mistake on this 180-USD spent and especially not mentioning this to them sooner. If this glitch is a part of ALL iMP-900s, do you think I would get some kind of refund or even iRiver credit, that I can at least spend on another item from them? |

the only way to find out is to RMA it (contact iRiver). And you don't need to register the warranty...
