Imp550 Either remote or Remote port

I posted this here because the one i posted at the official iRiver forums wasnt getting help at all...so i though it would be better to post it here

Anyways i bought the Imp550 in around October 12, 2003. The remote has stopped working sometimes, like i would turn it on then it would be able to recognize the buttom presses then most of the time it wouldnt, it would become obsolete. Im thinking its either the wiring in the remote itself or the remote input port on the cd player. As i fidgit around with the remote port where it connects to the cd player as its connected it would sometimes be fixed...but temporarily.

I was wondering if the warranty would replace this and where i could contact iriver for a replacement, and also process of replacement like, Do i pay for shipping or does iRiver and also how long would it take for them to send a new one...etc.

Oh yea btw i bought this on Amazon.com...

You should talk to iRiver Support. Support@iRiverameric a.com. I believe it will be covered by the warranty. If you decide to send it you will have to pay for shipping. Not much to ship though. Only about $4.00 through United States Postal Service. It will take about 2-3 days for the package to get to iRiver. iRiver then sends out the replacement the same day they receive the package. Also you only send in the player and you don't send in the other stuff. Another thing it will take about a week because they use UPS ground shipping.

I'd look on the iRiver site and find the iRiver distributor nearest to you. Talk to them about it and make arangements to send it to them (ask them what they need and try to keep as much as you can).
